Robert Rothstein

Dr. Robert Rothstein

Robert Rothstein, MD, is Vice President of Medical Affairs (VPMA). Prior to assuming the role of VPMA in 2010, Dr. Rothstein served as Chairman of Emergency Medicine at Suburban Hospital since 1986. During his tenure at Suburban, he has taken an active leadership role in many important clinical initiatives including disaster preparedness and provider quality and as a physician advisor for outcomes management. Prior to coming to Suburban, Dr. Rothstein served as Residency Director and Associate Director of the Division of Emergency Medicine at the University of Chicago and as Chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Harbor/UCLA Medical Center.

Dr. Rothstein received his medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School and completed his residency in emergency medicine at the University of Chicago Medical Center. He is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and has served on the editorial boards of the Journal of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the Annals of Emergency Medicine in addition to publishing articles, chapters, and reviews in a variety of medical journals over his long career as an emergency physician.
