G. Daniel Shealer, Jr.

Mr. G. Daniel Shealer, Jr.

Mr. Shealer is responsible for the delivery of all internal and external legal services for The Johns Hopkins Health System Corporation and Affiliates. He also has responsibility for Corporate Compliance and certain regulatory and accreditation functions for The Johns Hopkins Health System Corporation and Affiliates.

In addition, he serves as Deputy General Counsel for Johns Hopkins Medicine.

Before coming to Johns Hopkins in 1990, Mr. Shealer practiced health care law at two Baltimore law firms. He received his bachelor’s degree cum laude in 1981 from Juniata College in Pennsylvania and his law degree from Vanderbilt University in 1984.

He serves on the Boards of Trustees of Howard County General Hospital, Inc., Suburban Hospital Healthcare System, Inc., Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital, Inc. (Chairman), and Legal Aid Bureau and is a graduate of Greater Baltimore Committee’s Leadership Program.
