Mr. G. Daniel Shealer, Jr.
Mr. Shealer previously was Deputy General Counsel for The Johns Hopkins Health System. He is responsible for the delivery of all internal and external legal services for The Johns Hopkins Health System Corporation and Affiliates. He also has responsibility for Corporate Compliance and certain regulatory and accreditation functions for The Johns Hopkins Health System Corporation and Affiliates.
In addition, he serves as Corporate Secretary for the Johns Hopkins Health System Corporation, The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, Inc. and Deputy General Counsel for Johns Hopkins Medicine.
Before coming to Johns Hopkins in 1990, Mr. Shealer practiced health care law at two Baltimore law firms. He received his bachelor’s degree cum laude in 1981 from Juniata College in Pennsylvania and his law degree from Vanderbilt University in 1984.
He serves on the Boards of Trustees of Howard County General Hospital, Inc., Suburban Hospital Healthcare System, Inc., Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital, Inc. (Vice Chairman), and Legal Aid Bureau and on the Mayor’s Leadership Advisory Group to End Homelessness in Baltimore City. He is a graduate of Greater Baltimore Committee’s Leadership Program.
