Johns Hopkins Comprehensive Transplant Center Kidney and Pancreas Transplantation
Patients who come to the Johns Hopkins Comprehensive Transplant Center gain access to the vast resources of one of the world’s premier medical institutions.
Whatever conditions face our patients, whatever challenges may arise during the transplantation process, the full resources of Johns Hopkins are available to them.
Established in 1968 - the first of its kind in the mid-Atlantic - the Johns Hopkins Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Program continues to be a leader in caring for kidney and pancreas transplant patients.
"They are magnificently compassionate here at Hopkins. During my recovery from donor surgery, my nurse would take me to visit my husband who was on another floor in intensive care. I have not seen that level of caring anywhere else."
- Ammie Conner, kidney donor
Our approach to renal and pancreatic transplant care seeks to allow patients to have the fullest, most enriching lives possible. We treat each patient, whether a kidney recipient or a possible donor, as an individual.
