Educational Training Module

Chi Van Dang, Vice Dean for Research at The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine
provides a short introduction to the stem cell research oversight educational module.

Although this message refers to ethical conduct of embryonic stem cell
research at Johns Hopkins University and the JHU ESCRO, Dr. Dang's
message extends to the JHU ISCRO Committee and its current purview.

The ESCRO/ISCRO Educational Training Module was revised in March 2010 in concert with policy changes.

The updated online training course "Ethical Oversight of hSC Research 2010" provides an introduction to both ethical guidelines for human pluripotent stem cell research and to the revised Policies and Procedures of the Johns Hopkins University Institutional Stem Cell Research Oversight (JHU ISCRO) Committee.

All persons conducting research under JHU ISCRO purview at The Johns Hopkins University must complete the educational module with a passing score of 80%. Certificates of completion should be submitted with the JHU ISCRO application for all listed investigators.
