Educational Training Module

The JHU SOM ESCRO Educational Training Module is now available.

The required online training module "Ethical Oversight of hESC Research" provides an introduction to ethical guidelines for human embryonic stem cell research as well as Policies and Procedures of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine Embryonic Stem Cell Research Oversight (JHU SOM ESCRO) Committee.

As of August 1, 2007, all persons conducting this research at Hopkins must complete the educational module with a passing score of 80%. Certificates of completion for all investigators listed on JHU SOM ESCRO applications should be submitted with the ESCRO application.

The module may be accessed at http://www.hopkinsinteractive.org with Internet Explorer.

Learners should do the following:

1) Click on the "My Learning" tab and choose a login option.  If you have one, use your JHED ID and password.  (If not, you may contact Suzanne Damaré at 410-955-3008 to request a Registration Key code).  


2) Select "Course Catalog", click on the "Johns Hopkins Medicine" tab and the option "Compliance (i.e. CRMS, HIPAA, Research, Preventing Harm)".

3) Choose "Ethical Oversight of hESC Research - 01".
