Educational Training Module is now available. 

The required online training module "Ethical Oversight of hESC Research" provides an introduction to ethical guidelines for human embryonic stem cell research as well as 
Policies and Procedures of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine Embryonic
Stem Cell Research Oversight (JHU SOM ESCRO) Committee. 

As of August 1, 2007, all persons conducting this research at Hopkins must complete the educational module with a passing score of 80%.  Certificates of completion for all investigators listed on JHU SOM ESCRO applications should be submitted with the ESCRO application.  Investigators who have currently approved ESCRO applications have until October 1, 2007 to complete the module and submit certification.

The module may be accessed at http://www.hopkinsinteractive.org with Internet Explorer.

Learners should do the following:

1) Click on "My Courses" tab and log on.  (If you do not have a Hopkins JHED ID, please contact Suzanne Damaré, ESCRO Administrator to obtain an Organizational Key Code.)

2) Go to the Course Catalog(s) and select a catalog that most accurately fits your role.

3) Select "Ethical Oversight of hESC Research" course, and then launch the course.
