Stimulus Response
The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009, also known more popularly as the Recovery Act, will invest approximately $12.4 billion in extramural research between now and September 2010 (or a later date, as designated by agency) for the purpose of stimulating our economy, in particular, retaining old and creating new jobs. If past trends hold, Johns Hopkins faculty may experience a 20-30% increase in research funding - but only in this time frame.
This site provides information to support School of Medicine faculty in attracting ARRA (2009) funds for Johns Hopkins University researchers, including the identification of areas where JHU research interests are aligned with the Act.
