Office of Policy Coordination

The Office of Policy Coordination (OPC) is dedicated to promoting responsible interactions with industry, supporting a culture of research integrity, and assisting JHM faculty and staff in research compliance.

Disclose Your Outside Activities on eOPC

In conjunction with the adoption of the new professional commitment policy, the Dean's office has launched an online mechanism for required annual reporting.  For FY10, annual reporting will be done in phases.  During their department’s reporting period, each faculty member will receive a weekly reminder by email and a link to the reporting website, which will contain instructions for completing the annual report.

OPC aids in developing policy that helps guide the university and its faculty within the realms of academic integrity.  OPC reviews and manages disclosures and conflicts of interest, investigates research misconduct, and promotes a culture of ethical conduct of research. 

OPC is part of the Office of the Dean.  We work closely with the Office of Research Administration (ORA), the Institutional Review Board (IRB), and Johns Hopkins Technology Transfer (JHTT).
