Kathleen Kortte, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor, Rehabilitation Neuropsychology

Dr. Kathleen Kortte joined the PM&R Department faculty in December of 2003. She has a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Southern Illinois University. Both her internship at the Medical University of South Carolina and her postdoctoral fellowship at Johns Hopkins University were specialized in Neuropsychology and Rehabilitation Psychology.

Dr. Kortte’s clinical work focuses on assessment and treatment of individuals with neurological disorders, with particular expertise in working with individuals with traumatic brain injuries. Her research interests include unawareness syndromes (anosognosia and denial of illness) and psychological factors that facilitate adaptive functioning and positive outcomes following onset of neuropathology.
