Dr Arene came to Hopkins in 2006. Prior to that, she was the Medical Director of Stroke Rehabilitation at the Center for Rehabilitation Medicine at Emory University. She completed a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in 2003. Dr Arene’s clinical interests center on the rehabilitation of patients with stroke and non-traumatic brain injury, and include the management of spasticity and related musculoskeletal conditions. Her research focuses on cognitive disorders following stroke. Education:
