Welcome
Dear Colleague:
Thank you for visiting our Web site. These pages provide information about the Johns Hopkins Residency Training Program in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, including instructions for obtaining application materials.
The goal of this residency training program is to train leaders in the field. Our mission is to provide an extensive training experience in the art and science of physiatry (physical medicine and rehabilitation). We strive to introduce residents to research techniques and current literature, in order to instill lifelong learning patterns that will enable them to make outstanding contributions to the field. To that end, the department provides a four-year integrated program with extensive training in the evidence-based diagnosis, care and treatment of patients with disabilities.
The program provides a wide variety of experiences in inpatient and outpatient physiatry and many opportunities to develop scholarship in research, teaching and patient care. We believe that you will find our program to be exciting, fulfilling and career-enhancing.
Thank you for your interest in our program.
Sincerely,
Jeffrey B. Palmer, M.D.
