Sports Injuries

Johns Hopkins rehabilitative sports medicine provides nonsurgical care for a variety of sports medicine injuries. Our interventions focus on understanding the mechanism of injury and biomechanics that contribute to acute and chronic injuries.

Our rehabilitation physicians understand the needs of recreational and professional athletes and work closely with a multidisciplinary team in an attempt to return the athlete to competition as quickly as possible.

Our interventions include:

  • physical therapy
  • medication therapy
  • bracing orthotics
  • injections as appropriate

In addition, preventive measures are reviewed in an attempt to enhance performance.
