Dr. Zorowitz Co-Edits New Textbook on Stroke Rehabilitation

Richard D. Zorowitz, M.D., Associate Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Chairman of  Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center is the co-editor of a newly published book, entitled “Stroke Recovery and Rehabilitation,” published by Demos Medical Publishing, New York, NY.  The book is a comprehensive guide to the management of stroke patients.  It includes detailed information on risk factors, epidemiology, prevention, and neurophysiology.  Additional sections discuss the acute and long-term treatment of all stroke-related impairments and complications, psychological issues, outcomes, community reintegration, and new research.  Members of the Department who have contributed to the textbook include Jeffrey Palmer, M.D. (Director) and Marlis Fernandez-Gonzalez, M.D., Ph.D., (Assistant Professor).
