Marlís González-Fernández, MD, Ph.D has been awarded the 2008 New Investigator Award from the Foundation of PM&R. The award is a short-term grant to support Dr. González-Fernández' research on the neural basis of swallowing disorders after stroke. The Award will be presented during the AAPM&R Annual Assembly November 22, 2008 in San Diego. Dr. Gonzalez-Fernandez is Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Medical Director of the PM&R Outpatient Clinic at the Johns Hopkins Hospital.
