Dr. Feldman graduated from a combined Bachelors and Masters Program in Physical Therapy in 1999 and practiced as a Physical Therapist. Later, she enrolled in medical school, and graduated in 2005. Following medical school, she completed a Preliminary Year in Internal Medicine at Mercy Medical Center/University of Maryland and then a Residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She served as Chief Resident from 2008-2009 for the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Dr. Feldman provides inpatient consultations at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and serves as an Attending Physician and the Medical Director of the Comprehensive Inpatient Rehabilitation Program at Johns Hopkins Hospital. She combines both her skills as a Physical Therapist and Board Certified Physiatrist when treating her patients.
Her clinical work focuses on managing the rehabilitation needs of patients with musculoskeletal, neurologic, and oncologic disorders, sequela of critical illness, and general medical and post-surgical conditions in both the inpatient and outpatient setting.
Her research interests include development of early rehabilitation strategies in the intensive care unit (ICU) to reduce muscle weakness and functional impairment associated with critical illness.
