Geriatric Psychiatry Program

The Geriatric Psychiatry Program provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment for persons 60 years or older who are suffering from psychiatric disorders depression, bipolar disorder, substance abuse and schizophrenia. 

Care is provided at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and The Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in a variety of settings including hospitalization, day hospital, clinic evaluations and outreach into the community. The program also conducts research and offers a one-year training fellowships in geriatric psychiatry.

Individuals whose primary problem is with memory will be referred to the Memory and Alzheimer's Treatment Center within the Division.
