About 300 cardboard dummies will represent flu patients, as aspiring doctors must catalog each case and order appropriate treatments. This will take place in a high-pressure environment with limited resources to simulate real-world scenarios. Eventually, the exercise will call for some of the medical staff to feign illness, forcing remaining units to continue giving care with dwindling staff support.
