BEST DRESSED SALE SET FOR NOVEMBER 1- 4

Some Baltimore traditions just keep getting bigger and better. That's certainly the case with this year's Johns Hopkins Best Dressed Sale and Boutique 2007, now celebrating it’s 40th anniversary.   Exclusive designer dresses and shoes, chic contemporary fashions, classic accessories and enduring vintage clothing will be on the racks, waiting for a favored place in the closets of bargain-conscious - but demanding - shoppers.

The sale begins on Thursday, Nov. 1 from 4 - 8 p.m. (pre-sale shopping, light refreshments, $30 admission, $25 in advance) and continues (free admission) Friday, Nov. 2, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 3, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 4, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (half-price day)

This year one of Baltimore’s premier wedding boutiques has contributed new bridal, bridesmaids’ and mother-of-the-bride gowns. There are gently used shoes and handbags, skirts, suits, tuxedoes, and furs.  For serious shoppers, the advance shopping opportunity on Thursday offers a less chaotic shopping experience.

Thousands of shoppers turn out each year for this free fund-raising event, sponsored by The Women’s Board of The Johns Hopkins Hospital.  All proceeds from this year’s event, which in recent years raised closed to $150,000, will support patient care at The Johns Hopkins Hospital.
