BEST DRESSED SALE SET FOR SEPTEMBER 30-OCTOBER 3
Some Baltimore traditions just keep getting bigger and better. That's certainly the case with this year's Johns Hopkins Best Dressed Sale and Boutique 2004. Exclusive designer dresses and shoes, chic contemporary fashions, classic styles for children and men, accessories and enduring vintage clothing will be on the racks, waiting for a favored place in the closets of bargain-conscious shoppers.
The sale begins on Thursday, Sept. 30 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and continues Friday, Oct. 1, 9a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 2, 10a.m. to 5p.m., and Sunday, October 3, 11 a.m to 4p.m.
There are shoes and handbags, jewelry, skirts, suits and pants. Clothes for children, men, evening, sport and resort. Some are even brand new. "Believe it or not," says Elaine Born, this year's event co-chair, "some people never once wear what they buy."
Thousands of shoppers turn out each year for this fund-raising event sponsored by The Women's Board of The Johns Hopkins Hospital, so come early for the best selection. All proceeds from this year's event, which historically nets between $115,000 and $130,000, will benefit the planned new Children's and Maternal Hospital.
