Dr. Fine’s primary clinical and research interest is in the diagnosis and management glomerular kidney diseases, particularly HIV- and Lupus- related kidney disease.

- Evaluation of methods of detection of proteinuria in lupus nephritis and HIV related kidney disease
- Evaluate the role and safety of kidney biopsy in HIV and lupus related kidney disease
- Assessment of different therapeutic approaches in the treatment on lupus nephritis
- Diagnosis and prognosis of HIV related kidney disease
- Rhabdomyolysis in illicit drug users
