Yu-Hsiang Hsieh, PhD

Yu-Hsiang Hsieh

Dr. Hsieh is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine of the JHU SOM.  He has both a strong epidemiological and statistical educational background and practical experience.  He is a well regarded resource by his colleagues and has over eight years experience performing statistical analysis on various studies for the JHU Division of Infectious Diseases with six peer-reviewed journal articles, JHU Department of Neurology with three peer-reviewed journal articles, JHU Department of Emergency Medicine with three peer-reviewed journal articles, and for the National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan with nine peer-reviewed journal articles.

Currently, Dr. Hsieh is the epidemiologist/statistician in the Department of Emergency Medicine with whom we work closely on other projects.  For the STD POCT study, he will perform basic interim statistical analyses when needed. He will perform statistical analysis and set up models of the data obtained from laboratory analysis, as well as analysis of focus group (clinician and patient) questionnaires, performing univariate and multivariate analyses in order to finalize results of the analysis for publication of the project. He will also assist with data interpretation and manuscript preparation.
