The Philip A. Tumulty Topics In Clinical Medicine Course 2008 May 5-9, 2008 Mark your calendar to attend our 53rd Annual Philip A. Tumulty Topics in Clinical Medicine course. This five-day course (May 5-7, 2008) will present advances in Internal Medicine in areas of general clinical interest as they relate to the diagnosis and management of disease. The current course directors are Drs. John A. Flynn, D. William Schlott, Lisa A. Simonson, Daniel J. Brotman, and Myron L. Weisfeldt, Director of the Department of Medicine. Topics in Clinical Medicine began 53 years ago with the late Dr. Philip Tumulty's belief that a faculty should communicate not only its expertise in Internal Medicine, but also its collegiality and warmth. To maximize the intermingling between faculty and guests, Dr. Tumulty held the course at Hopkins and provided daily lunches with the faculty. Topics remains a course dedicated to providing the best summaries of the advances in Internal Medicine and to extending the hospitality of Johns Hopkins' faculty.
