Osler Fund for Scholarship

For Johns Hopkins Medicine to remain one of the preeminent leaders in medical training, continued emphasis on the core ideals brought to Hopkins by William Osler is required. Scholastic activities that permit young physicians to satiate their academic curiosity are not easily funded and regulatory pressure on physicians, hospitals, and educational programs require us to develop a broader base of financial support, particularly for scholarly activities.

The Osler Fund for Scholarship was created as an opportunity for those who share the spirit of Oslerian medicine to provide support for its principles. The Osler Fund supports scholastic activities of the medical housestaff, including innovations to improve patient care, research funding, and presentations at scientific meetings. Contributions directly impact housestaff education and career development.  These efforts are crucial to continue training physicians who take as their prime motivation the principles first espoused by William Osler.

Thank you for your partnership and your support as we continue to train future leaders in medicine.
