Under-represented minority

Currently includes African Americans, Mexican-Americans, Native Americans (American Indians, Alaska Natives, and Native Hawaiians), Pacific Islanders, and mainland Puerto Ricans

European American

Currently refers to all persons who are of European descent or who are European born, including persons of Spanish origin, and persons from Australia, New Zealand or others who originated in Europe

Other Ancestry

Primarily Asian American, or Asian born, or non-Caucasians persons from Oceana

Other disadvantaged

Includes physical or other handicapped, economically or socially challenged, or those whose language skills do not allow ease of communication
