The Department of Medicine and the Diversity Council have implemented new programs including reaching out to minority applicants, new hiring goals for the recruitment of minority faculty, the creation of mentoring teams for minority and other disadvantaged residents, fellows and faculty, visiting clerkships, a yearly Professorship and diversity workshops for faculty and staff.
