Research Training Program in Behavioral Aspects of Heart and Vascular Diseases

Alumni

Over 95% of program graduates establish productive academic research careers. Several former trainees have emerged as international leaders in the investigation of heart and vascular diseases, with some now leading their own research training programs. Among the program's distinguished alumni are several of the program's own faculty members, including: Dr. Michael Klag, Dr. Frederick Brancati, Dr. Lawrence Appel, Dr. Jeremy Sugarman, Dr. Diane Becker, Dr. Edgar (Pete) Miller, Dr. Lisa Cooper, Dr. Eric Bass, and Dr. Jeanne Clark.

Program alumni can also be found at Harvard, Yale, University of Pittsburgh, University of Maryland, and Marshall University, as well as the National Institutes of Health, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Other alumni in their mid or early investigative careers are also making important contributions.
