The Functional Anatomy and Evolution Program customarily
has a postdoctoral fellow in residence for each school year, with the
appointment usually beginning on August 1st. Applicants for the position
have generally completed all requirements for their PhD degree by the
time of the appointment, and have previous experience in teaching dissection-based
human anatomy, along with good computer skills. Duties include giving
1-3 lectures for the human gross anatomy class, helping with lab instruction
each day of the class, coordinating computerized evaluation forms and
exams (in cross-sectional anatomy), and updating lecture notes on-line.
As these duties generally require no more than 6 months of the year, the
remainder of the year is available for research and the preparation of
